Person Driven Supports (PDS) |
Person-Driven Supports (PDS) at CI provides selected services for those who do not need a Community Living Program.
PDS' Independent Living
setting serves people with disabilities who do not require 24-hour or
less in supervised living, offering minimal support to people. People
living in these settings live independently and are employed in the
community. Recreational and cultural activities can be an integral part
of their day, as they take greater control over their lives and
resources, and assume greater responsibility for their decisions and
actions. CI supports these individuals for as many hours as determined
by the person.
CI's Home-Based Waiver Program
offers services that ease the stress on family members and other
caregivers, providing supports that encourage families to continue to
care for loved ones at home.
Our Community Inclusion Programs
support people who live in a variety of settings, permitting them to
participate in community activities or volunteer in programs for
seniors, contributing to his or her community in a meaningful way.
Through the Community Interactions' Resource Center, there is
amble opportunity for inclusion in community life, with supportive
staff helping people with disabilities build bridges to live, work and
volunteer independently in their communities. |
